Welcome, Kelsey! Integrative Health Practitioner

What led you to becoming an Integrative Health Practitioner?

I started out as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in the health and fitness industry. I LOVE fitness, but I soon realized that there is so much more to health. Once I started experiencing rashes that the doctors couldn’t explain, I tried to do my own research for natural remedies, and found myself wanting to know more and more. I started working with different practitioners to help pinpoint what was going on with my own body. Then, over Covid, I came across the IHP program, and knew immediately that this is exactly what I wanted to do. I believe being able to utilize functional medicine labs to create individually tailored protocols based on a client’s toxicities and nutritional deficiencies is the future of health coaching!

What does it look like to work with you?

I have created a 4 month program that will help you get to feeling your best! With this program, you get 4 appointments. Our first appointment is where we dive deeper into the health intake, talk about your health goals, and there is an option for a complimentary BCA scan which will help track progress with weight loss. Based on the information gathered during the health intake appointment, I then recommend labs. Functional medicine labs are great at getting to the root cause of ailments, but a protocol can also be developed based on symptoms alone, if the client prefers. At the second appointment we review the lab data and I give the client their personalized plan! The third and fourth appointments are used as checkups, to go over anything that might have changed while on the protocol.

Do you have particular clients you specialize in?

I specialize in women looking to lose weight and rebalance their hormones.

What is one thing you wish more people knew about health/wellness?

Sleep is paramount to good health! You need at least 7-9 hours of quality sleep for your body to reset and recover.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I spend most of my free time working out. I compete in a variety of different events, but my favorite is obstacle course racing! I also love reading! My favorite book since I was in 5th grade is Jane Eyre. These days, I find myself reading mostly non-fiction.

Anything else we should know or that you would like to share?

Rebalancing the body and getting back to optimal health is achievable! I look forward to assisting more people on their health journey!
